Our Story
Park Place was founded in 2009. It was formerly known as Lakeside Guest Home at 9220 Mt View Dr. in Atascadero. In December of 2019, they moved Park Place to the new location on 7500 Portola Rd It is now Park Place Assisted Living, a newly built 12 bed RCFE, which includes a beauty salon, theater room with theater seating, a covered patio with a BBQ, and walking paths with grand views of the hills and wildlife.
Park Place was founded by Diana Barnhill in 2009. Prior to founding Park Place Assisted Living Diana worked at other assisted living communities as the dietary supervisor. She found Park Place because she wanted a place with more one on one personal time and to be more hands on with the resident’s care. She wanted to know more about the people she was caring for and for them to become family.
Diana has worked with Lisa Neeson of Adult Protective Services and has provided housing for people with small budgets. We will always have at least 1 space available for someone no matter their financial situation.
